Tonight’s discussion centers around the sense that we are always lacking something that will make us complete. In this psychological space ego is totally at home, especially since fear can arise so easily when we feel like we are lacking. Michael relates this idea to how Carl Jung says that the most frightening thing any of us goes through is to “accept ourselves completely.” Questions relate to everyday fears; Awakened mind; surrender as opposed to giving in; and the contagiousness of unconsciousness.

I have been listening to these podcasts for a couple of months. I attended the Infinite Smile Sangha for the first time last night. I learned some things that I think will help me deal more effectively with my “Hungry Ghost”. I plan to continue attending the Sangha and listening to Michael’s podcasts.
